I went to a Farm of Lavender in Mayfields just 1 hour away from Central London, it was an amazing experience! Check my Vlog and see how fantastic it was!
Do you wanna go? Leave a comment telling me, or if you have been there, tell me, I want to know 🙂
Instructions to get there by Public Transport from London Victoria:
- Get the train in London Victoria Rail Station to West Croydon (final destination will be either West Croydon via Crystal Palace, Sutton via Norbury or Epsom Downs via Norbury)
- Leave West Croydon train station and go to West Croydon Bus Station (out of the train station go to your left and then turn left in the first street)
- Get the bus 166 towards Banstead
Train: £6.40 (with Oyster Card)
Entrance fee: £2.00 (just in cash)
When to go:
Lavender plants bloom between the end of spring and the beggining of summer, if the weather is really warm it can bloom early. So the best time would be around beggining of July to a hot summer.
They say “June 1 to September 16 (Please not this may change as the heatwave may require us to harvest all the lavender at the end of August. We would then close on August 31 for the 2018 season). We open 7 days per week from 9am to 6pm (Last entry for cars is 5.45pm).”
